Duties

• Handle cases from inception through trial, including drafting discovery pleadings and motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in client intake and trial preparation.
• Formulate and develop case strategy, advising clients on risk mitigation.
• Conduct research and manage comprehensive case details.
• Oversee the discovery process and supervise junior attorneys and staff.
• Engage in mediation and arbitration as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-6+ years of litigation experience in state and federal courts.
• First chair experience preferred; second chair considered.
• Licensed to practice and in good standing in South Carolina.
• Portable book of business preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.

Skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
• Significant courtroom experience.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially.
