Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm based in New York City seeks a driven and experienced attorney with a strong foundation in litigation. This position offers an opportunity to be involved in high-stakes disputes and trial matters across various sectors. Duties:

• Take the lead on drafting pleadings, motions, and complex memoranda

• Manage discovery processes, including document review and depositions

• Prepare for and participate in court proceedings and arbitration hearings

• Coordinate closely with partners, clients, and co-counsel

• Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis

• Engage in strategic case planning and risk assessment

• Assist with trial preparation and trial work as necessary

• Supervise junior associates and legal staff, providing mentorship and quality control

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in litigation practice, preferably within a large or mid-sized firm

• Candidates completing a clerkship in Fall 2025 will be considered

• Demonstrated experience with case management and courtroom practice

• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills

• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility to waive in)

Skills:

• Advanced understanding of procedural rules and trial preparation
