A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney in Salt Lake City, UT. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise across multiple practice areas, including civil litigation, business law, family law, administrative law, personal injury, estate planning, employment law, appellate law, and criminal defense. The attorney will manage cases, conduct court appearances, perform legal research, draft documents, and provide strategic counsel to clients.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and memoranda.
• Conduct discovery, including written discovery and depositions.
• Manage a caseload across diverse practice areas.
• Assist in trial preparation and participate in litigation.
• Negotiate settlements and legal agreements on behalf of clients.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure procedural compliance.
• Collaborate on complex legal issues requiring detailed analysis.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding case progress and options.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to Utah State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of legal experience.
• Experience or willingness to learn in various practice areas.
• Research skills utilizing Westlaw.
• Strong writing skills for drafting clear legal documents.
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to Utah State Bar in good standing.
