Experienced Tax Lawyer

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced tax lawyer with a strong background in estate planning (wills and trusts) and estate tax planning. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in sophisticated techniques such as GRATs and private annuities.

Duties

• Advise clients on estate planning and tax strategies.
• Develop and implement sophisticated estate tax planning techniques.
• Collaborate with clients to draft Wills and Trusts.
• Provide legal guidance on private annuities and GRATs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Lead and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.
• Oversee client engagements from intake to implementation.
• Develop new business opportunities and client relationships.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in tax law.
• Proven expertise in estate planning and tax strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Partner-level candidates will be considered.
• Tax LLM or equivalent experience preferred.
• Should be able to manage/mentor associates and take a leadership role within the firm.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
