This role requires membership in the New York State Bar, a background in education law, strong writing and research skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative work approach.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on the school district and BOCES operations
• Conduct legal research and writing on education law matters
• Advise clients on business and contract issues
• Handle employment and student-related legal matters
• Represent clients in administrative, State, and Federal hearings
• Assist with school construction projects and related legal matters

Requirements:

• Membership in the New York State Bar
• Background in education law

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
