Mid-Level General Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level General Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess varied litigation experience, including exposure to federal courts. Admission to the New York Bar is required, and admission to the New Jersey Bar is preferred.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse range of litigation matters, including but not limited to commercial disputes, employment law, personal injury, and contract disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for submission to courts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop case strategies and litigation plans.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
• Attend and participate in client meetings and case conferences.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar is required; admission to the New Jersey Bar is preferred.
• 3-6 years of experience in general litigation practice.
• Demonstrated experience handling a variety of litigation matters, with exposure to federal courts.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar is required; admission to the New Jersey Bar is preferred.
