A law firm based in Orem, UT, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join its collaborative legal team. Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and mediation

• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, memoranda, correspondence, and settlement agreements

• Conduct thorough legal research and case analysis on complex domestic relations matters

• Guide clients through litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes

• Participate in initial consultations and maintain high closure rates through effective communication and rapport

• Utilize firm tools for timekeeping, invoicing, and trust accounting; ensure timely billing and client updates

• Collaborate with support staff to optimize workflow and case management efficiency

• Engage in firm-led marketing efforts, such as blog contributions, social media visibility, and public events

• Contribute to firm development through business networking and community involvement

• Maintain client satisfaction through proactive communication and responsiveness

• Track and meet annual billing expectations (approx. 1500 hours with 1400 collections)

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of relevant legal practice in family law

• Proven ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload

• Experience or familiarity with mediation is preferred

• Courtroom experience is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills with clients and colleagues

• Commitment to personal brand development and community engagement

• Proficiency in using legal software and managing electronic client files

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Utah State Bar (or eligible for reciprocal admission)
