Senior Attorney needed for Glendale office

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Senior Attorney for their Glendale office. The Attorney will primarily handle defense work and should possess experience in class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation. The role involves representing clients in civil litigation matters.

Duties:

• Represent clients in defense matters
• Handle class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation cases
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
• Engage in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions
• Participate in the discovery process, including taking and defending depositions
• Represent clients in court proceedings and oral advocacy

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in California
• Preferably have 5-10 years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience with discovery in the civil litigation context
• Strong oral advocacy skills
• Ability to appear in court and handle motion practice
• Experience with taking and defending depositions

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the California Bar

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with defense work, class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation is preferred
