A law firm in Fort Myers is seeking a Mid-Level Business and Tax Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in corporate and business law, with a focus on tax planning and business transactions. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services. A transferrable book of business and relevant advanced qualifications are highly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel on corporate and business planning matters.
• Advise clients on business succession planning and business tax planning strategies.
• Draft and review business contracts, agreements, and transactions.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal documents.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Develop and implement strategies for business tax compliance and optimization.
• Manage a caseload of business and tax-related matters efficiently.
• Build and maintain client relationships, with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
• Stay current with changes in business and tax law to ensure effective client representation.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
• 5-7 years of experience as a licensed attorney, with a background in corporate and business planning, business succession planning, business tax planning, and general business transactions.
• LL.M. in Taxation or CPA designation is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• A transferrable book of business is highly desirable.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
• LL.M. in Taxation or CPA designation preferred but not required.
