Immigration Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney for its Seattle office. The candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting documents, representing clients in court proceedings, managing case files, and providing legal advice. Fluency in Spanish is required. The attorney will work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop legal strategies and serve client needs.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research to support cases.
• Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions.
• Interact with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and argue motions.
• Manage and organize case files, including documentation and deadlines.
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop legal strategies.
• Provide legal advice to clients, often under supervision.
• Stay informed about changes in the law and participate in continuing legal education.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency required.
• Experience with immigration court proceedings, including asylum and removal cases, is desirable.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Successful completion of the Bar exam.
• Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA).
• 4+ years of experience practicing immigration, PI, or Crimigration law.
• Ability to work with senior attorneys to serve client needs and grow the client base.
