Description
The Compensation Design and Analytics team is responsible for design, development and implementation of enterprise-wide compensation programs and initiatives as well as data, analytics and reporting solutions for the department.
Responsibilities
The Lead Business Intelligence Engineer will develop solutions for Compensation that evolve our data capabilities and enable the delivery of innovative, competitive, and analytically driven compensation programs. In this role, the individual will be both hands-on with the data and be able to communicate the results in a way that builds confidence and supports decisions that align with Humana's pay objectives and business strategy.
Responsibilities
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, dashboards, analysis and data reporting to support all compensation programs and initiatives including base pay, annual incentives, sales incentives, career framework, recognition, and mobility.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across Compensation team to identify reporting, data analytics and visualization needs; gather requirements, design and build the right data tools.
Utilize data visualization, tools and reporting to bring data to life and tell a compelling story built around actionable insights
Build best practices required to collect and analyze compensation and HR related data
Create, maintain, and ensure quality assurance of key data sets, reports, and metrics by promoting data consistency, accuracy, and completeness
Advance the use of analytical techniques and statistical thinking across the department
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years of data analysis experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Experience with tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI for creating data visualizations
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Strong business acumen - able to identify and articulate what the key business reporting needs are and create a plan that builds confidence with stakeholders
Ability to tell stories with data, educates effectively, and instills confidence in recommendations, motivating others to act on them
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines.
Outstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Strong organizational skills, time management, and accountability.
Attention to detail and bias to action: pursue data quality, troubleshoot data validation, and see issues to resolution
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and 4 or more years of data analysis experience
Previous experience with HR, Human Capital and/or Compensation analytics
Experience with Workday or HRIS data
Familiarity with statistical software such as R, SPSS, and/or SAS
