Job Title: Senior Business Immigration Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Associate to join its business immigration practice. This role involves close collaboration with legal teams and corporate clients on a variety of employment-based immigration matters. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of non-immigrant and immigrant visa processes and a strong track record of managing high-volume caseloads. While the position is tied to the Santa Monica office, remote candidates who can work Pacific Time Zone business hours will be considered.

Duties:

• Advise clients on strategic options for employment-based immigration matters

• Engage in direct client communication throughout the visa process and beyond, offering guidance on compliance and program management

• Oversee the work of legal assistants and paralegals to ensure high-quality, timely case preparation and filing

• Conduct detailed reviews of casework prepared by support staff

• Ensure precision and consistency across a high volume of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions

• Respond to client and internal team inquiries throughout case lifecycles

• Participate in ongoing process improvements and workflow coordination

Requirements:

• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business immigration law

• Proficiency with a broad array of case types including:

  • Non-immigrant (e.g., H-1B, TN, L-1, E-2, B-1)

  • Immigrant (e.g., PERM, I-140, AOS)

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, high-output legal setting

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of business immigration legal processes

• Client-focused communication and relationship-building

• Meticulous attention to detail across complex filings

• Ability to lead and mentor legal support teams

• Competence in prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands
