A law firm seeks a qualified Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in San Antonio, TX. The successful candidate will assist in the firm's litigation section, providing legal advice and handling cases across various courts and legal settings.

Duties

• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Prepare and handle litigation cases as lead and co-counsel.
• Appear in state and federal courts, hearings, and trials.
• Engage in municipal court prosecution and administrative law hearings.
• Conduct depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and negotiate settlements.
• Review and draft legal documents including petitions, motions, and pleadings.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing on various legal matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 0-5 years of litigation experience required; insurance defense and governmental litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with drafting legal documents such as pleadings and motions.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Self-starter with the ability to work cooperatively in a professional environment.
• Occasional local and state-wide travel may be required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
