Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm with a strong focus on intellectual property is seeking a Biotechnology Litigation Associate Attorney to support its growing biology, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical patent litigation practice. This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse range of high-quality domestic and international clients on complex patent litigation matters, including cases involving biologics, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, litigation experience, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative legal environment.

Duties:
Handle patent litigation matters related to biology, biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals
Work on cases involving BPCIA and/or Hatch-Waxman litigation
Represent clients in proceedings before U.S. courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB)
Collaborate with teams to manage complex litigation strategies
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and participate in trial preparation
Provide technical insights based on scientific background to support litigation efforts
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in patent litigation (biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical focus)
Experience in PTAB proceedings and related patent disputes
Familiarity with BPCIA and/or Hatch-Waxman matters preferred
Strong teamwork, communication, and project management skills
Proven ability to handle complex scientific and legal issues
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Advanced degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacology, or related scientific field
Certifications:
Admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (preferred)
Skills:
Deep understanding of patent law and procedures
Strong analytical and research abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into legal strategies
Experience working with domestic and foreign clients in a legal setting
