A prominent law firm based in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to manage a diverse caseload focused on residential real estate disputes, mortgage-related legal actions, and transactional matters. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced litigation setting and brings deep subject-matter expertise in courtroom advocacy, motion practice, and case strategy. The position offers flexibility, including remote capabilities, and a collaborative environment emphasizing integrity, innovation, and long-term client partnerships.
Manage a docket of litigation and transactional matters with minimal supervision
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, trials, and depositions
Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, discovery, and correspondence
Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw or Fastcase
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely case progress and client communication
Travel occasionally for court appearances and case requirements
Participate in team meetings and contribute to special projects as assigned
Minimum 8 years of litigation and courtroom experience (real estate or foreclosure litigation experience preferred)
Current licensure with at least one state bar; dual licensure, including Texas, is highly desirable
Proven expertise in state and federal civil procedure and evidentiary rules
Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads independently
Experience taking and defending depositions, and drafting dispositive motions
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
Active member of a U.S. State Bar in good standing
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Strong legal research and analytical abilities
Proficiency with litigation support software and legal research tools
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking under pressure
