Duties:

• Deliver end-to-end legal services in family law matters, such as divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and protective orders

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, including motion hearings, plea negotiations, and trial advocacy

• Participate in courtroom proceedings, including jury and bench trials, hearings, and mediations

• Formulate tailored legal strategies through research, discovery, and client consultation

• Draft litigation documents, including pleadings, briefs, and motions

• Maintain performance benchmarks, including billable hour targets

• Engage in regular client communication to ensure transparency and responsiveness

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to streamline legal operations and support client outcomes

• Stay current on relevant legal trends and case law affecting family and criminal practice in Tennessee

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of substantive legal experience in family and criminal law

• Licensed and in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar

• Proven courtroom and negotiation experience, especially in contested family matters and criminal trials

• Familiarity with Tennessee statutes and local court procedures

• Comfortable handling a diverse caseload with minimal supervision

• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Tennessee

Skills:
