A law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Attorney in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will represent design professionals in construction law matters, focusing on claims of professional negligence and contract disputes related to design changes.

Duties

• Represent design professionals in litigation involving contract claims and professional negligence.
• Engage in pre-trial work, including motion practice, discovery, and collaboration with expert witnesses.
• Participate in trial proceedings in federal, state, or tribal courts, and arbitration.
• Work with insurance carriers and manage coverage issues.

Requirements

• Experience in construction law representing design professionals.
• Trial experience in federal, state, or tribal courts, and/or arbitration.
• Experience with insurance carriers and coverage is a plus.
• Prior experience at a reputable law firm is preferred.
• A portable book of business of $350K is preferred, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
