A law firm seeks a Construction Litigator in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will represent design professionals such as architects, engineers, and surveyors in litigation involving claims of professional negligence, contract disputes, and construction defects.

Duties

• Represent clients in contract claims related to design changes.
• Handle cases involving construction defects and bodily injury/wrongful death.
• Conduct pre-trial work including motion practice and discovery.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Participate in trials in federal, state, or tribal courts, and arbitration.

Requirements

• Experience in construction law representing design professionals.
• Experience with insurance carriers and coverage is a plus.
• Prior experience at a reputable law firm is preferred.
• A portable book of business is preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
