Location:

Duties:
Draft and prosecute patent applications in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors
Collaborate with inventors, in-house counsel, and legal teams to develop and implement IP strategies
Conduct patentability assessments and prior art searches
Draft responses to USPTO Office Actions
Stay current on industry developments in AI, computational biology, and related technologies
Assist with client counseling and technical writing projects
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of patent prosecution experience
Demonstrated knowledge in bioinformatics, computational biology, artificial intelligence, or closely related fields
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and time management
Willingness to work in a non-remote, office-based setting
Writing samples and academic transcripts required
Education:
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, AI, or a closely related life science or computational field
Certifications:
USPTO Registration required
Attorney candidates must be licensed to practice law in the state corresponding to their primary office location
Skills:
In-depth technical knowledge at the intersection of biology and computer science
High proficiency in drafting technical patent documents
Familiarity with biotech and software industry trends
Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
