Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Regional Attorney in Crofton, MD. This licensed attorney will oversee litigation across Maryland jurisdictions, supporting operational and compliance goals. The role involves managing case progression, guiding legal teams, and ensuring consistency with processes and client expectations. The Regional Attorney plays a key role in staff performance management, training, and development, providing day-to-day legal oversight and ensuring team compliance.

Duties

• Oversee litigation workflows, ensuring timely file movement and compliance.
• Coordinate hearing and court appearance coverage; serve as backup counsel when necessary.
• Lead training and onboarding of new attorneys; provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.
• Serve as a legal resource, offering guidance on complex issues and escalating concerns.
• Monitor attorney workloads, assess productivity, and perform regular case audits.
• Communicate and enforce firm policies across regional teams.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding litigation matters and workflows.
• Assist in preparing for audits and implementing process improvements.
• Promote development and cross-training of attorneys and support staff.
• Contribute to firm initiatives and operational improvements as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license in good standing in at least one state within the assigned region (MD).
• Minimum 3 years of creditor or consumer rights experience.
• Strong understanding of procedural law and case management systems.
• Experience training, mentoring, or leading legal teams.
• Excellent time management, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume litigation workflows across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Education

Certifications
