Multiple firms across the United States — including municipal law boutiques, government-focused practices, and Am Law public law groups — are actively seeking Municipal Law Litigation Attorneys with 1–10+ years of experience.
With increasing public infrastructure projects, regulatory enforcement actions, land use disputes, and government-related litigation, firms are expanding their municipal litigation teams nationwide.
If you have experience litigating on behalf of public entities, including:
Representation of cities, counties, or public agencies
Section 1983 and civil rights defense
Public contract and procurement disputes
Land use and zoning litigation
Eminent domain and inverse condemnation
Government tort liability and immunity issues
Administrative hearings, writs, and appellate matters

Represent municipalities, school districts, and public agencies in civil litigation.
Handle Section 1983, civil rights defense, and government immunity matters.
Litigate land use, zoning, and planning disputes.
Assist with eminent domain proceedings and inverse condemnation claims.
Manage procurement, public contract, and bid protest disputes.
Conduct administrative hearings, participate in writ proceedings, and support appellate work.
Work closely with public officials, agency staff, and in-house counsel.
1–10+ years of litigation experience, ideally with public agency or municipal matters.
Familiarity with Section 1983, land use disputes, or government tort liability.
Strong writing skills and the ability to handle complex motion practice.
Comfortable working with government clients and public-sector processes.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Excellent courtroom and motion practice abilities.
Strong communication skills tailored to public agency clients.
Ability to manage multiple active cases and strict procedural deadlines.
Skilled in issue-spotting and analyzing statutory/regulatory frameworks.
Organized, responsive, and collaborative approach.
