Job Overview

A law firm seeks a General Liability/Workers' Compensation Associate to join their team in Alpharetta, GA. The successful candidate will engage in various legal tasks, supporting the firm's commitment to delivering exceptional client results.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Maintain billable hours as necessary.
• Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision.
• Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when necessary.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active license in good standing in Georgia.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in litigation (judicial clerks will be considered).
• Experience in General Liability and/or Workers' Compensation Defense work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license in good standing in Georgia.
