Tax Automation and Innovation Senior Associate

Duties: The candidate will apply industry knowledge and experience, work with companies to implement and optimize the tax reporting processes, data, and related tools. Tax-specific software used on these projects includes those offered by Thomson Reuters Onesource, Longview, Corptax, and Oracle. This role is a hands-on process, data, and technology focused position. A foundational knowledge of ASC 740 as well as US and multinational tax reporting challenges and requirements is a must. Involves a review and analysis of existing company processes, data, and use of tax technology, including the use of Microsoft Excel and other complementary technologies and tools. Projects typically cover the areas of tax planning and forecasting, income tax provision, income tax compliance, and other areas such as indirect tax reporting. Assist in preparing process manuals, maps, and checklists for the company staff relating to revised processes and use of technologies and tools. Support the team’s efforts in terms of marketing, networking, and business development. Work with other offices within the firm, assisting with enhancing and optimizing our internal tax processes and use of technologies. Train at client locations, provide support to clients post implementation, attend various conferences relating to TaxAI initiatives, and assist with the preparation of proposals and fee estimates for projects.
