We need a person who must be fully experienced in Illinois personal injury trial prep. You will function independently and assist and back up our senior office executive with her responsibilities. Your day-to-day work will include all aspects of assisting trial counsel in the preparation of cases for trial, mostly in medical malpractice. This position includes the in-office prep of cases including pleadings, discovery, and depositions, assisting in answering interrogatories, and document production, contact with expert witnesses, and motions, and assistance with various trial items such as document organization, ordering trial exhibits, typing jury instructions, witness scheduling. As a senior team member, you will also be available to instruct less experienced team members if needed. 

Together with the actual experience mentioned above, this candidate must: 

 Possess a strong work ethic with a high level of confidence, including the ability to communicate respectfully with all individuals from all walks of life.    A high level of ability to read, write, and communicate English, ability to compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling.  
Be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to prioritize your workload. 
Possess strong computer skills in a technologically current firm. 
Availability to work overtime as needed, particularly during an actual trial. 
Complete familiarity with all E-filing systems, both Il state and federal. 
We are a close-knit group of inspired coworkers whose objective is to assist injured clients. Many employees have been with our firm for 30 years or more.  We work in modern offices with state-of-the-art technology for a nationally known firm.  

Salary:  Up to $70,000.  Benefits: Health insurance, 15 – 20 PTO days, based on tenure 

 M-F with the option to leave at 4 pm two days a week One Friday a month off.
