Job Summary
The team you would be joining is a group of highly skilled and motivated DevOps engineers who are responsible for building, deploying, managing, and maintaining large-scale TSDBs. This team is customer-focused and dedicated to providing exceptional support to internal clients. The team works closely with other teams across the organization to integrate internal applications into our services and provide valuable insight into the performance and health of these systems. The team is driven by a passion for technology and a desire to continue learning and staying up to date with the latest industry developments. The team values collaboration, communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer III to join us as an Observability DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical role in developing, deploying, managing, and maintaining large-scale TSDBs while also providing technical support and guidance to our customers. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to seamlessly integrate internal applications with our services and provide deep insight into the performance and health of these systems. The ideal candidate should exhibit a strong passion for technology and a desire to continue learning. They should possess 2-3 years of experience as a software engineer with a specific focus on TSDBs, such as Prometheus, InfluxDB, or Victoria Metrics. Additionally, they should have in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS and GCP, and a proven track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in Python is a desirable attribute.
Job Description
In this role you will:
Build and maintain observability solutions deployed in different environments
Develop internal tools to help automate and manage our system
Utilize visualization tools to gain valuable insights from our data
Onboard new teams to our platform
Integrate third-party databases such as ElasticSearch, ClickHouse with our visualization tool (Grafana)
Improve observability support experience for our customers
Build and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with other team members to ensure project success
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
2-3 years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on TSDBs such as Prometheus, InfluxDB, or Victoria Metrics
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Kubernetes environments
Preferred Skills:
Measurable experience with a majority of our technology stack including Elastic Search, Kubernetes, Grafana, Docker, Ansible, Helm, MongoDB, Prometheus, GitHub, and VictoriaMetrics
Experience with object-oriented programming languages
Proficiency in Python with at least 2 years of experience
A passion for coding excellence and an open mind to new technologies
Customer-focused with a desire to provide an excellent customer experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership
Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies.
