Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is actively recruiting a Regulatory Investigations, Strategy & Enforcement Associate to join its litigation and compliance team in the Atlanta office. This role is ideal for an attorney with 4–6 years of experience in litigation, regulatory enforcement, or internal investigations. The position will focus on Georgia-based economic development issues, state and federal regulatory litigation, consumer class actions, and administrative proceedings. Candidates with prior government or public sector experience will be especially competitive.

Duties:
Represent clients in state and federal regulatory enforcement actions, including administrative litigation and spinoff consumer class actions
Provide counsel on compliance strategies and risk mitigation for clients in highly regulated industries
Conduct internal investigations related to alleged corporate or executive misconduct
Support economic development projects and regulatory matters specific to Georgia
Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and regulatory filings
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary legal teams to develop strategic defenses and enforcement responses
Advise clients across sectors including financial services, consumer products, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, gaming, cybersecurity, and data privacy
Requirements:
4–6 years of experience in litigation, investigations, or regulatory compliance
Experience working with or within a government agency (e.g., attorney general’s office, executive branch agency) preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal issues and client relationships
Prior experience in economic development or public/private partnership matters is a plus
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar, or eligible for admission by waiver
Skills:
Superior legal research and writing ability
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of federal and state regulatory frameworks across various industries
Experience with internal investigations and enforcement risk counseling is advantageous
Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required
