Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained in an AmLaw 100 firm, with a background in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. The candidate must possess a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) and a J.D. degree. Superior research, analytical, and writing skills and strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential. The Litigation Of Counsel will collaborate effectively within a team and independently manage tasks while adhering to firm policies and deadlines.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience.
  • NC Bar admission.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
  • Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology).
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Prefer candidates with immediately transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools.
