A law firm seeks a dynamic and motivated Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of civil litigation experience to join its growing team in Orlando, FL. Duties

• Defend claims in civil litigation, primarily focused on auto liability, commercial auto liability, premises liability, medical professional liability, and product liability.
• Work closely with a supervising partner and trial team in case preparation, legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in trial settings.
• Assist in formulating defense strategies and executing legal procedures related to trial cases.
• Participate in pre-trial motions, discovery, and depositions.
• Manage case files, maintain records, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress.
• Work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and in good standing.
• 0-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong preference for prior experience in insurance defense.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
• Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality legal work.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Florida State Bar in good standing.

Skills

• Experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Proficiency in case management and legal documentation.
