A law firm seeks a motivated and skilled Associate Litigation Attorney in Omaha, NE. This position is ideal for an attorney with 1-4 years of experience in estate, trust, and commercial litigation, as well as real estate and domestic relations. The successful candidate will provide excellent legal representation and compassionate client service, assisting a senior partner and managing a caseload from inception to resolution.

Duties

• Manage all phases of litigation.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including petitions, complaints, and motions.
• Represent clients in court at hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Conduct and manage the discovery process.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing legal advice and managing expectations.
• Negotiate settlements and resolutions outside of court.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of demonstrated experience in litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Nebraska State Bar.

Skills

• Proven ability to handle court appearances and manage contested litigation.
• Strong understanding of financial disclosures and business valuation principles.
• Exceptional ability to handle high-conflict situations with professionalism and compassion.
