A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney to join their team in New York, NY. The successful candidate will work closely with partners on public and private company transactions, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Duties

• Participate in all aspects of transactional work, including drafting agreements and conducting due diligence.
• Coordinate and oversee due diligence efforts, liaising with specialty practice attorneys and co-counsel.
• Mentor and oversee junior attorneys as needed.
• Manage organizational tasks and corporate drafting for major transactions.
• Engage in ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

Requirements

• 5-9+ years of corporate and securities practice experience.
• Experience with large public company transactions.
• Proficiency in drafting documents and managing detailed transactions.
• Knowledge of basic securities laws and exposure to capital markets work.
• Qualified to practice law in New York and an active member in good standing with the New York Bar Association.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
