Director of Business Development & Marketing
Duties: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop plans to advance strategic initiatives. Help create and execute new business initiatives that support key segment and individual attorney business plans, including thought leadership, client events, sponsorships, and other relationship and profile building opportunities. Analyze markets and work with teams to conduct relevant and target research into industries, sectors, clients and competition to inform strategic planning and identify business opportunities. Work with lawyers to generate business development plans and create compelling value propositions. Coach small groups and individual attorneys on the legal sales cycle, developing strategies and tactics for building relationships and winning business. Identify and direct business development activities in key industries and with external organizations to identify leads and build relationships. Supervise Communications Specialist to develop effective collateral materials and content, including web and social media. With Communications Specialist, implement CRM rollout and promote adoption as a critical business tool. Identify and respond to formal and informal RFPs. Support lateral integration, including working one-on-one with incoming attorneys to develop, execute, and evaluate business plans. Develop and manage the firm’s client development budget. Provide leadership and support to the firm’s Marketing Committee.
