A law firm seeks experienced and motivated Associate Attorneys at both Senior and Junior levels to join their dynamic legal team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in family law and have the opportunity to engage in high-net-worth legal matters within a collaborative office environment. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional research and writing skills, proficiency with legal research tools, and solid legal drafting abilities. Knowledge of Smokeball is a plus.

Duties

• Assist partners with a wide range of family law matters, including pre- and post-decree cases across several Chicago area counties.
• Manage case progression, ensuring all deadlines, filings, and client needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, guidance, and strategic advice.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on administrative tasks.
• Serve as a primary or supporting attorney in strategic planning and execution on complex family law matters.
• Attend various networking events.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required for all applicants.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar.
• Demonstrated proficiency with legal research platforms.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and client management skills with a focus on sound judgment, empathy, and discretion.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar.
