Associate Attorney Administrative Law

Profile

A law firm seeks an associate attorney to join their team in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience, preferably in administrative law, with specific knowledge of Chapters 119 and 120, Florida Statutes. A background in environmental law is a plus. Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on a variety of issues related to administrative law
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and contracts
• Assist in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing agreements and contracts
• Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court hearings
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide co-counsel support
• Offer legal advice and guidance to clients across various matters
• Manage a caseload with attention to detail, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all tasks

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Florida Bar
• At least three years of experience in administrative law, particularly with Chapter 120, Florida Statutes
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally
• Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar (required)
• Admission to other state bars is a plus

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and analysis
• Excellent writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, and legal opinions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage a variety of tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and case management software is a plus
