General Counsel

The candidate will provide insurance and financial regulatory advice and to counsel its leadership on an enterprise wide basis. Provide expert and strategic legal advice to leadership and all business teams on all aspects related to the firm’s product offerings and services, including their development, launch, marketing, sales and compliance with federal, state and local laws. Draft, review and negotiate contracts, including but not limited to, customer product agreements, vendor contracts, regulatory and licensing agreements, and NDAs. Monitor new and emerging developments in applicable insurance and financial services industries, to include advising the firm leadership on changes to relevant federal, state or local licensing and regulatory laws. Interpret laws in the context of the firm business activities and goals, Identify potential impact on current and future the firm product offerings, and ensure that key personnel are in possession of necessary information. Work directly with regulators to resolve regulatory challenges that may arise. Create and manage internal governance polices. Provide legal training and support to key business functions including Sales, Client Implementation, Operations, Engineering, and Human Resources departments. Other duties as directed and assigned. Should have Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent from an accredited law school. Should have 7+ years of regulatory and compliance legal experience in insurance, finance or related industries.
