A law firm in Mandeville, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a federal clerkship background, distinguished academic performance, superior writing and analytical capabilities, and preferably experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing. Meaningful involvement in ongoing litigation cases on a national scale is also desirable. A valid law license is mandatory for this position.
Duties:
- Handle complex commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to ongoing litigation cases.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for federal court proceedings.
- Participate in all phases of discovery, including Electronic Discovery processes.
- Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and clients to develop case strategies and objectives.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to litigation practice.
Requirements:
- 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
- Federal clerkship background preferred.
- Superior academic credentials.
- Strong writing and analytical capabilities.
- Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
- Valid law license in good standing.
Education and Certifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Valid law license in good standing.
Skills:
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
- Superior writing and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Electronic Discovery processes is a plus.
