Business Development Manager
The candidate will be working closely with Practice Group Leaders and Members of Practice Groups to develop and implement business plans. Working with individual lawyers to help them develop and deliver their personal business development plans. Identifying market developments that may have an impact on clients' businesses and providing advice on effective marketing strategies. Providing primary support in preparing responses to domestic and cross-border requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and other pitches, proposals, capability statements, and client-facing materials for new or expanded business. Preparing and managing the BD budget for the practice groups. Preparing the practice group's regular work communication tools - including details of new instructions, pitches, proposals, meetings, events, and PR/Media activity as appropriate; four-year college degree (Marketing, English Communications, or other business degree preferred; Business/Marketing Masters or J.D. a plus); a minimum of five years of business development, marketing, or sales-related experience, preferably international experience in a professional services environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
