Workers Compensation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Worker's Compensation Attorney with 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate must be barred in MD and PA and have experience in insurance defense, workers' compensation, and/or personal injury. They should have a strong understanding of MD and PA workers' compensation laws and regulations, with experience in employer liability claims considered a plus. The candidate should possess strong academic credentials, excellent research, writing, and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases in MD and PA.
• Handle insurance defense and personal injury cases as needed.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on workers' compensation matters.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in MD and PA.
• 2+ years of experience in Worker's Compensation and Employers' Liability.
• Strong understanding of MD and PA workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Experience with insurance defense and personal injury cases.
• Licensure in other jurisdictions is a plus.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
