Administrative Director
The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm, providing administrative support for legal services and the enforcement of office procedures. Will manage the insurance policies and annual renewals, including professional liability insurance, worker's compensation, EPLI, and fiduciary policies and all broker relations regarding medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, and LTD. Also handles the day-to-day facilities management with the building management company. Leads the firm's efforts in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, banking relationships, tax planning and reporting, insurance programs, and retirement plans. Supervises, works closely with and is supported by the firm's controller, Human Resource Manager, and billing team. Also works with the firm's outside CPA firm. Responsible for the firm's payroll, 401k and HSA plans; recruiting, hiring, and terminations of non-attorney employees; staff supervision, training, and disciplinary employment actions; employee benefits administration, annual reviews, and personnel records. Supervises, works closely with and is supported by the firm's Human Resource Manager in these areas of responsibility. Working with the firm's IT vendor, evaluates the firm's computer systems, software programs, copiers, telephones, and other such equipment to develop recommendations for upgrades for reliability and efficiency. Also responsible for managing the firm's records, policies, and procedures. Participates in monthly shareholder meetings, as well as meetings with the firm's executive committee and managing director, as scheduled. TCollaborates with the firm's shareholders in the following areas: Strategic planning, risk management, quality control, organizational development, firm planning processes, and other general management functions. Business development and marketing initiatives and implementation. Compensation and performance evaluation instruction for partners, associates, paralegals, and administrative staff.
