A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Technology Specialist to contribute to the drafting of patent applications, communicate with patent offices, and provide valuable insights to patent litigation teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, coupled with extensive experience in Machine Learning, including neural networks and deep learning algorithms.

Duties:

  • Draft patent applications for innovative clients, encompassing detailed descriptions and figures.
  • Correspond with the patent office to manage pending patent applications effectively.
  • Provide advisory support to patent litigation teams based on technical and scientific expertise.
  • Conduct interviews with inventors to gather information on new ideas and inventions.

Requirements:

  • Hold an advanced degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • Demonstrate 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Possess a strong background in Machine Learning with hands-on experience in neural networks and deep learning algorithm implementation in hardware.
  • Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials are essential.
  • Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (preferred).

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Machine Learning, including neural networks and deep learning algorithms.
  • Strong background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Legal expertise in patent prosecution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with inventors and patent offices.
