Duties:

• Manage business litigation cases from inception through resolution.

• Perform legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other documents.

• Assist in managing discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and mediations.

• Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.

• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in business litigation within a law firm environment.

• Experience with litigation processes, including legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery management, and taking depositions.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.

• Ability to manage multiple cases independently while maintaining high standards of work.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the South Carolina Bar or ability to obtain membership.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and writing.

• Strong drafting skills for pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.

• Ability to handle complex litigation matters and prioritize tasks effectively.
