Job Overview:

The Senior Associate Attorney will manage a caseload of personal injury litigation matters, represent clients in court proceedings, conduct depositions, and participate in jury trials. Strong verbal and writing skills are essential for effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Conducted legal research and drafted legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, motions, and trials.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar (in good standing).
• 5-8 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Proven track record of court appearances, depositions, and jury trials.
• Strong verbal and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
