Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Tax and Corporate Legal Attorney in San Juan, PR. This role involves direct client interaction and collaboration with the CEO on complex legal matters, including Act 60 applications and corporate transactions.

Duties

• Prepare and file Act 60 tax decree applications and amendments.
• Draft legal memoranda on Puerto Rico and federal tax law.
• Execute notarial acts such as wills, trusts, and corporate certifications.
• Represent clients before Hacienda, PRIDCO, IRS, and municipalities.
• Support corporate transactions, including due diligence and real estate agreements.
• Advise clients on tax compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain detailed client file documentation and internal records.

Requirements

• JD required.
• Puerto Rico Bar admission preferred (required for notarial work).
• 5+ years of experience in Puerto Rico tax law, corporate law, or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Act 60, SURI, and DEDC's Single Business Portal.
• Strong legal research skills using Westlaw and Trámite Legislativo.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English.
• Notarial experience is a strong plus.

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Puerto Rico Bar admission preferred
