General Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a General Litigation Associate Attorney with 11+ months of experience in general liability, construction law, and/or business litigation. The ideal candidate must have strong writing ability, exemplary research skills, and a willingness to learn.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and writing for various litigation matters.
• Assist with motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Take and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.
• Manage a caseload independently, under supervision.
• Work in an organized and efficient manner to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate time records for billing purposes.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar admission in the State of California.
• 11+ months of experience as a licensed attorney in general liability, construction law, and/or business litigation.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Licensed attorney in California.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
