Job Overview: A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Patent Agent with expertise in intellectual property, particularly in drafting and patent prosecution. Duties:

• Conducting thorough research to support the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
• Collaborating with inventors and attorneys to gather necessary information for drafting patent applications.
• Analyzing and responding to office actions from the USPTO.
• Providing technical expertise in the evaluation of inventions for patentability.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in patent prosecution and drafting.
• Membership with the USPTO is mandatory.
• Strong background in chemistry, with a degree in chemical engineering or chemistry, preferred.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistry (advanced degrees are strongly preferred).
