A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Law Attorney to join their Attorney Coach and Trainer Program in San Diego, CA. This non-billable role focuses on training and coaching attorneys, involving the creation and delivery of training programs through various methods, including online platforms and in-person sessions.

Duties

• Create, facilitate, and deliver training programs using online and in-person methods.
• Conduct one-to-one and small group coaching sessions.
• Develop templates and standards for attorneys firmwide.
• Facilitate regular office hours to support attorney development.
• Collaborate with Learning and Professional Development and Talent Teams to identify training needs.
• Travel for in-person coaching and training sessions as required.
• Assist with firmwide rollouts of legal software.

Requirements

• Proven ability to create and deliver training programs.
• Experience in one-on-one coaching and holding office hours.
• Excellence in legal writing.
• Creative, personable, and service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing needs.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and online training platforms.

Education

• J.D. required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in CA is preferred.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of CA labor and employment law.
• Experience with Class Action and PAGA matters.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and instructional design software.
