The candidate should have extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, particularly in bankruptcy litigation, liability management, corporate disputes, and financial restructuring. This role involves high-stakes disputes related to creditor, debtor, sponsor, and distressed financing matters.

Duties

• Represent financial institutions in creditor-side litigation within Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court settings.
• Handle debtor/sponsor-side litigation in high-profile Chapter 11 cases, including adversary proceedings and plan confirmation disputes.
• Manage distressed M&A litigation involving asset sales under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Requirements

• Significant experience in complex commercial litigation, focusing on bankruptcy and financial restructuring.
• Proficiency in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appellate work.
• Experience advising clients on litigation risks in in-court and out-of-court transactions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
