A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney for a remote position based in North Carolina. The attorney will manage all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including plan confirmation, motions for relief, and adversary proceedings, while collaborating with support staff. Travel to courts throughout North Carolina may be required.

Duties

• Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Review legal documents, including notices and pleadings.
• Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes.
• Attend and argue motions and hearings in court.
• Participate in mediation sessions.
• Provide legal counsel throughout the bankruptcy process.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Admission to the bar in North Carolina (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts) with CM/ECF filing credentials.
• Minimum 2 years of experience representing creditors in bankruptcy/insolvency matters.
• Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues.
• Detail-oriented with multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and with senior management.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in North Carolina.
