Description
The Value-Based Data and Reporting Analyst supports the success of Humana's Direct Contracting Entity (Humana Care Solutions) by focusing on the improvement of the provider experience and quality improvement of our beneficiaries. The Value-Based Data and Reporting Analyst generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Value-Based Data and Reporting Analyst work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. Responsibilities
The Value-Based Data and Reporting Analyst will work with the DCE's leadership team and internal and external partners to develop reporting and insights aimed at improving quality, outcomes, cost of care, and provider experience.
Develops and manages operational dashboards, metrics, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources
Captures, integrates, and analyzes data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
Utilizes SQL, Python or R to build, maintain and store datasets
Creates specifications for reports based on business requests
Makes decisions regarding technical approach for project components and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments, occasionally in ambiguous situations
Manages the production of Provider Reporting
Supports the evaluation of the DCE and our value-based providers through ad hoc requests
Follows established guidelines/procedures

Required Qualifications
2 years of technical experience in data reporting, interpretation and/or analysis
1 years of experience in SQL, SAS, R, Python or other data systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data
Strong attention to detail
Able to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues and work under minimal supervision
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior leadership
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience in PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualization tools
Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python or other data systems
Experience creating automated reports and self-service tools
Experience in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
Experience analyzing healthcare data and/ or with Value-Based Payment models
Experience as an IT project manager, writing requirements, user stories, testing, and managing through scrum processes
Ability to put context around data and find root cause issues specific to data
Ability to think 'outside the box'; ability to identify issues and provide resolutions quickly
Additional Information
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
