A boutique family law firm located in Raleigh, NC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team. This full-time role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in emotionally charged legal matters and is passionate about advocating for clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Location:

  • Raleigh, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, domestic violence, and property division

  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, and court orders

  • Prepare for and attend court hearings and trials

  • Maintain accurate and organized client case files

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and other staff throughout the litigation process

  • Analyze client cases, develop strategies, and communicate clearly and empathetically with clients

  • Participate in negotiation and mediation when applicable

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience practicing family law

  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload and litigation workflow

  • Experience handling real estate matters within the context of family law

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially in emotionally sensitive situations

  • Commitment to client service and integrity under pressure

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in North Carolina

  • Membership or involvement with the American Bar Association (ABA) preferred

Skills:

  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy

  • Effective legal writing and research skills

  • Empathetic communication and conflict resolution

  • Organizational efficiency and file management

  • Familiarity with legal software and document preparation tools
