A law firm seeks an attorney with over six years of experience to join its insurance coverage litigation group in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves representing international and national insurers on corporate insurance matters, handling coverage investigations and disputes under various policies, including fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional, property, excess, and general liability policies.

Duties

• Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Provide coverage recommendations for clients.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and client correspondence.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft interrogatories and document demands.
• Review document collections for litigation preparation.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
• Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

• Admitted to the CA Bar.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong insurance coverage experience required.
• Commercial litigation experience required.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar admission.

Skills

• Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis.
